Program Manager & Case Manager

Stephen is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Certified Addiction Specialist, with over 16 years of experience working on the Substance Use Treatment field. He is Thurston Detox Program Manager, and also handles all the Case Management Duties, providing patients with a sense of safety and openness that allows them to engage in the Program. Stephen’s passion for working with men and women struggling with substance abuse issues came from struggling with his own personal battle with substances for 20 years. He graduated from the Human Services program at LACC with honors in 2005 and has built a reputation as a compassionate and knowledgeable counselor who believes anyone can change their lives if they are willing to put forth the effort. Stephen believes that getting clean and sober isn’t enough and “it’s only through a complete mental, emotional, physical and spiritual change can a person learn to live a full and happy life again.”
